The Venezuelan Troupial (Icterus icterus) is a passerine (order Passeriformes) species of bird (class Aves) in the troupials and allies family (Icteridae). It is a New World oriole (genus Icterus).
Has a black head and upper breast and shoulders. Orange lower breast and underside and upper and lower back. The wings are mostly black except for a white streak.
Found in arid landscapes of Colombia, Venezuela and some Caribbean islands.
