Overview

The Plush-crested Jay (Cyanocorax chrysops) is a passerine (order Passeriformes) species of bird (class Aves) in the Corvid family.

Description

A large dark blue jay with a cream-yellow breast, rounded black crest, black head and breast. Yellow eyes and a bright blue eyebrow and nape. Sexes are similar.

Range

Found in forest and woodlands of central-southern South America.
