Overview

Cyanocorax is a genus of passerine (order Passeriformes) birds (class Aves) in the crows, jays, and magpies family (Corvidae). Known as the tufted jays. Cyanocorax is from Greek and means 'dark blue raven'.

Range

Primarily found in wooded habitats of Mexico and Central and South America. The Green Jay ranges north into southern Texas in the Unites States
