Overview

Leiothlypis is a genus of passerine (order Passeriformes) birds (class Aves) in the new world warbler family (Parulidae). It was formerly classified within the genus Oreothlypis but was spit in 2019. Leiothlypis is from Greek and means 'plain small bird'.
