Overview
The Eastern Screech-Owl (Megascops asio) is a species of owl (family Strigidae) in the order Strigiformes of bird (class Aves).
Description
A small, stocky owl with large head. Yellow eyes. Two color variations are referred to as the rufous and gray morphs.
Range
Found in wooded environments in eastern North America, from Mexico to Canada.
