American Green Kingfishers (Chloroceryle) is a genus of birds (class Aves) in the kingfisher family (Alcedinidae).

Description

Dagger-like bills, typically green above with males having a rufous breast.

Range

Found by streams in forests or mangroves in tropical Central and South America north to the southern Texas in the United Staes.
