Overview

The Bridled Titmouse (Baeolophus wollweberi) is a passerine (order Passeriformes) species of bird (class Aves) in the tits, chickadees, and titmice family (Paridae).

Description

A small songbird with a short, stubby bill, medium-long tail, black eyes and a short crest that can be raised. Grayish overall with a black and white "bridled" face pattern, and black bib. The crest is boarded with black and white. Sexes are similar.

Range

Found in oak or oak-juniper mixed woodland riparian areas of Arizona and New Mexico in the United States to southern Mexico.
