Overview

The Swan Goose (Anser cygnoides) is a species of waterfowl (family Anatidae) in the order Anseriformes of bird (class Aves).

Description

A large, long-necked goose. Head and necka are dark brown above and tan below with a lon dark bill.

Range

Found in inland areas with expansive wetlands, fields, and lakes of Mongolia, northernmost China, and the Russian Far East.
