Overview

The Edwards's Pheasant (Lophura edwardsi) is a species of pheasant (family Phasianidae) in the order Galliformes of bird (class Aves).

Description

Males are dark iridescent blue with a white tuft of a crest. Females are brown and crestless. Both sexes have red skin around the eye.

Range

Critically endangered with small populations in the rainforests of central Vietnam.
