Overview

The Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) is a passerine (order Passeriformes) species of bird (class Aves) in the thrush family (Turdidae).

Description

Adult males are blue above with orange throat and breast and white belly. Females are paler overlall.

Range

Found in fields and open wood in eastern North America and Central America.
