Overview

The Chattering Lory (Lorius garrulus) is a species of Old World parrot (family Psittaculidae) in the order parrots (Psittaciformes) of bird (class Aves).

Description

A mostly red parrot with green wings, thighs, and tail tip. Most show a yellow patch on the back. Adults have an orange bill, brownish in immatures. The eyerings are grey and the irises are orange-red.

Range

Endemic to North Maluku, Indonesia.
