The Band-tailed Pigeon (Patagioenas fasciata) is a species of pigeon (family Columbidae) in the order Columbiformes of bird (class Aves). It is the biggest pigeon in North America.
Blue-gray above and unique purplish-gray below. A white crescent on the nape. The bill and feet are Yellow.
Found in mature montane forests of western North America into Central and South America.
