The Baird's Sandpiper (Calidris bairdii) is a species of sandpiper (family Scolopacidae) in the order Charadriiformes of bird (class Aves).
Dark brown on top and mainly white underneath with a black rump patch and a short, straight, thin dark bill and black legs. The head and breast are light brown with dark streaks. Non-breeding plumage is a paler brownish gray above.
A long-distance migrant, they breed in the northern tundra from eastern Siberia to western Greenland, wintering in South America.
