Dry Tortugas National Park

Dry Tortugas National Park is located in Monroe county, west of Key West in the Gulf of Mexico, in the state of Florida, United States. The park preserves Fort Jefferson and the several Dry Tortugas islands.

Park Purpose

As stated in the foundation document:

Dry Tortugas National Park preserves and protects the unique subtropical marine ecosystem and natural, cultural, and scenic resources of the Dry Tortugas for the education, inspiration, scientific understanding, and enjoyment of present and future generations.
